Visual layout and random events

The Chicken Subway Game uses a cartoon-style urban aesthetic — think flat-shaded buildings, high-contrast blue sky panels, and bold numerical overlays showing the current multiplier on each lane marker. The visual language is deliberate: everything needs to be readable at a glance in under five seconds, which is exactly the decision window players are given each round.
Two random event types can alter the standard round conditions. Fog rounds reduce track visibility significantly, obscuring part of the lane ahead and making it harder to read incoming hazard cues. Safety Windows do the opposite — they clear the track entirely for a short period, effectively offering lower-risk progression on all three lanes during that window. Neither event is telegraphed in advance, and both are RNG-triggered independently of player actions.
The game also applies a dynamic difficulty layer that shifts between Easy and Hard configurations across sessions. In Easy mode, trains arrive at lower speeds with slightly more generous bust thresholds. Hard mode compresses the multiplier-to-bust window and accelerates hazard timing. Players cannot manually select a difficulty setting — the system rotates between modes based on internal RNG parameters.
The soundtrack is energetic without being intrusive, using short percussive loops that intensify as the multiplier climbs. Portrait orientation is the default display mode, with the three-lane layout stacked vertically so all track information stays visible on a standard smartphone screen without horizontal scrolling.
